Position Summary

This position will support the Aullwood Farm in a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities including animal care, grounds and facilities care, and farm crop production. Weekend hours required.

Essential Functions

  • Feeding and watering farm animals (horses, cows, pigs, chickens, etc).
  • Turns out and brings in animals.
  • Cleans and beds animal stalls daily.
  • Keep facility neat and clean at all times.
  • Uses tractor with attachments to perform various field and grounds maintenance.
  • Perform landscaping duties such as weed removal, planting, mowing, shoveling walks and driveways, bush hogging fields, etc.
  • Assist in the removal of fallen trees.
  • Conducts routine trail maintenance.
  • Cut, ted, rake and bale hay, turn compost, move mulch.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have previous experience with farm animals and farm equipment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Ohio Driver’s license.
  • Must take pride in and be thorough in quality of work produced;
  • Must be able to use general office equipment including office PC, copier, telephone, facsimile machine, etc.;
  • Must be able to use farm equipment and attachments as well as power tools.
  • Knowledge of safety practices, precautions and occupational hazards associated with farm animal work.
  • Must be a team player and interact collegially with co-workers and other constituencies.

  • Work in all temperatures and weather conditions
  • Able to reach, lift to 80 pounds;
  • Must be able to work under deadlines and with interruptions.
