Position Summary

Reporting to the Communications and Marketing Manager for Audubon Rockies, the Digital Engagement Coordinator will support the development and implementation of Audubon Rockies’ digital advocacy and engagement efforts to build and maintain a diverse community of loyal members and advocates who to take the actions needed to advance the organization’s mission. They will work to increase and diversify digital engagement of Rockies’ six core programs and with Rockies overall. Spefically, the Digital Engagement Coordinator will use social media and marketing to promote engagement with public events and campaigns. They will also be responsible for innovating and implementing engagement strategies on social media and email platforms.

Essential Functions

  • Research, implement, analyze, and innovate digital engagement strategies.
  • Plan and execute promotion campaigns for public engagement opportunities.
  • Support Rockies’ office manager in creating and managing registration forms and event webpages.
  • Plan, create, and schedule content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok.
  • Create and send mass emails to Audubon members.
  • Plan, write, edit and publish web articles written by Audubon staff and self.
  • Write, edit copy, and design landing pages, reports, fact sheets, and flyers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least two years of professional communications experience and at least one year of creating and editing social media content, marketing emails, and webpages. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven writing, editing and proofreading ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Must be an avid and sophisticated consumer and user of social media, and have familiarity and experience with established and emerging social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • A good eye for visual design, understanding of social media platforms, and experience with email communications.
  • A working knowledge of the birds and ecosystems of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing or related field.
